"Well, so far you're the only one stopping him from waking up, his body will stiffen soon and the longer he has without oxygen to his brain the more he will stay dead." He pointed out. "Your little shield is stopping my people from trying to bring him back."

"They weren't helping him. And you were only hurting him. He knew he was going to die.. did you know that? Do you even care about how scared he was?" She didn't drop the shield but she made it so only those that could help Peter could get through and if they meant him any harm at all they couldn't.

The doctors managed to come back in and they started working to restart Peter's heart at least. "Scared or not, it makes no difference." His father shrugged. "Peter was a means to an end."

"What the hell is that supposed to mean? That he has no say in anything? That he doesn't deserve happiness or to live because you want to make him something he doesn't need to be."

"Like I said, he was a mistake, his life was always going to be forefit, it's justa shame the abortion didn't work." He told her.

Denise clenched her jaw and stared at him letting him continue to talk, she wanted to know but she also didn't. Her hand gave Peter's a small squeeze.

"Don't look at me like that, Peter knew his place from the beginning, if it wasn't for that bastard Kol Peter would have died years ago."

"Kol? What's he have to do with this?" She knew Kol and the others had taken Peter in but she wanted to keep this man talking, maybe she would learn things.

"You don't know much about him do you?" His father asked. "And yet, you're in bed with him frequently." He sighed. "Alright, Kol used to work for me, originally as a double agent, I thought he was working for me but really he was helping people like Peter escape." His father told him. "In his last act, he took Peter."

She arched a brow at him. "That isn't what I was told."

He shrugged. “Likely hood is that you don’t know a lot about him do you?”

"And yet I'm standing here willing to do anything for him which is more than you can ever say."

“He should be grateful I’ve made him the most powerful being on earth the only problem is he has a weak heart.”

"Let him live and have a life. That's all he wants.. "

“And that’s not going to happen, you see some of it didn’t need to be done through experimentation,” he told her as he got up, rolling up his sleeve and taking off the same band that Peter had, however his change was different his eyes stayed the same the only change was that his skin became scaled and he seemed to become a freak as he suddenly had a tail. “Take a look at your future princess your children will have this curse too.”

She stared at him without fear, perhaps there was a hint of curiosity in her eyes. "Does Peter know this? If he knows you're his father.. who does he think his mom is? Where did all the others here come from?" Her hand on Peter's tightened.

He shrugged. “I don’t know but yes he knows that he is my son.”

"I know he knows that.. does he know that you're.. you're uhhh.. this? And why won't you let him know who she is?" She nodded and the scientist. "You might not care or even understand but I really truly love him and I can't lose him."

“He’s still dead.” He pointed out. “But I don’t think so about me.” He told her. “But in regards to her mother it’s a blessing for him she wanted him dead just as much as I did.”

She made a face and shook her head. "He'll come back."

“Yeah sure.” He told her as he made a drink appear

"She glared at him before she turned around to look at Peter. "Okay, Pete.. it's been long enough. Stop messing around and come back to me.. " she whispered, laying her free hand on his chest where his heart was, she didn't seem to care of really take much notice that he was still cut up and a mess.

One of the nurses had started to stitch up his cuts by this time.

She didn't say anything else, all of her focus that wasn't on keeping the shield up went onto Peter and trying to rebuild their bond, in truth she was pouring a ton of her energy into him without knowing how she was doing it just to attempt to wake him somehow

As the nurses stitched the cuts the stitched ones disappeared, the energy that she was giving him was starting to fix things and where her hand was near his heart she would have been able to feel slight flutters as if it was trying to restart itself.
