Creatures of the Dark

Rylee was a little quiet as usually for her.

He ate quickly he knew it grossed her out a bit

She was alright, it was something she was getting used to and it was what he needed.

When he had finished he washed the bowl just as Stefan came in. “Brains again?”

“Hey I wish I could eat normal food.” Max shrugged

Rylee came up behind him and slid her arms around his waist.

“I’ll eat a burger for you.” Stefan told him. “Blood rare.”

Rylee looked around the kitchen. "Where is everyone?" She whispered.

“Ana is still in bed the baby was up most of the night.” Stefan explained.

“Frankie took Lily to the park with Cj ad Mathew and their son.” Alice explained. “And Hayden and Nate are still asleep.”

Rylee nodded slowly, that all explaining why it was so very quiet.

Alice smiled softly

She smiled a tiny bit.

“How are you doing?”

"I'm good, feeling good."

She nodded

"How are you?"

“I’m fine”

"That's good."

SHe smiledsoftly.

She smiled back.

She looked to the two men as Stefan got his blood from the fridge.

From the front door, there would have been a gentle knock, the woman who stood as the source of the sound stood at 5 foot five, though her hair - a plain brown and curled - made her appear an inch taller. A black raincoat encompassed her frame, hood up and head low to hide her face from the world. In her other hand, she clutched a poster advertisement for a spare room.

Alice walked over to the door when she heard the knock, and she opened it, she didn't appear defensive she was curious. "Hello, can I help you?"

"Alessia." The woman stated her name, a shudder in her voice from nerves as she reached her hand out and dropped the piece of paper into Alice's palm. "I- I heard you had a room free? I- I need somewhere to stay. I can give you whatever money you need."

Alice nodded. "I'm Alice, come on in, I'll get our other vampires to come and meet you." She told her as she moved out of the way to let her in.

"V- vampi- I don't know what your on about." She denied quietly, swallowing thickly as she glanced over her shoulder to make sure no one was watching her.
