Creatures of the Dark

Sabrina was stood outside of the room, she looked like she had started to cry which was normal for her when she became overwhelmed with everything but she wiped her eyes when she heard him. 

Belle and Baelfire had a lot of fun in the end they settled in playing snap

"I know," Was all Zion whispered, pulling her into his arms. "Little psychopaths. I will be talking to that boys parents, and we will be calling social services because whatever that child is witnessing to think it is okay to do that to their classmate is not normal."

“It’s not just the kids.” She whispered. “It’s you, you’re on edge, I get that your aunt has suddenly appeared out of the blue but I thought you loved her.” She told him. “You don’t trust her with Bael when she raised you.” She told him. “But that aside you left Bael, he cried for you and you walked away, I know you were angry Aeron, I get it but I want you to talk to me.”

"I needed to breath, you were with him. I am not as adept at hiding how I feel, you are better at it then me. It has always been like that." He answered sharply, defensive as he took a step back from her.

She also took a step back. “I’m sorry I don’t know why I can hide things so well.” she looked to him and she held her arms out to him. “Talk to me though love.”

"There is nothing to say. What do you want from me?"

“I want you to tell me what is going on.” She told him. “Your aunt suddenly appears, the one you adored, I’d have thought you would be happy, she’s getting to know our son and showing him little tricks and you all but growl at her, Aeron I don’t understand what’s going on.” She told him she was so confused. Was there something wrong with his aunt? Had he lied to her about her?

"She knows people who are.. weird. Who think their witches. I don't want him involved in any of that."

She looked to him. “Magic isn’t real Aeron,” she reminded him sliding her hand into his. “I feel like we can trust your aunt though.” She told him. “I think this will be good to have her around if you want.”
She suggested

"Not all of the time, only... only rarely." He agreed hesitantly.

“Birthdays and Christmas?” She suggested.

"Birthdays, and every other Christmas." He negotiated.

“Sounds good.”

"Okay.."

She pressed a soft kiss to his lips.

Zion pulled away, stepping back into his sons room quietly.

She followed and she smiled as she saw Belle showed him some pictures on her phone. “Do you really rescued them?” Baelfire asked.

“Yep, my husband and I we rescued them whilst we were out in the mountains last year.” She told him. “Brought them home nurses them abck to health and then let them go with a pack closer to home.”

"Belle." Zion huffed in irritation.

“Yes?” She asked.

“Mum dad, Belle was telling me about a organisation she volunteers for and last month they rescued some wolf pups on a mountain, isn’t that cool.” He turned Belles phone around and it was a picture of her in her human form holding a grey wolf pup. She was wearing a jacket with the company logo on of the organisation

"Best not encourage him to be near wild animals, mm?" Zion's tone was pleasant, though his eyes narrowed at her.

“We got onto the topic because he was telling me how he wants a pet and then asked if I had any.” She shrugged. “We just foster at the moment it’s more of a volunteering slash hobby.” She told them but she looked to Baelfire. “Your dad is right wild animals aren’t pets Baelfire, best leave them to professionals.”

Baelfire nodded. “Okay.”

"You need to leave. I was stupid to think I could trust you, allow you in." Zion deadpanned. "Get out."

“Aeron what is the harm in showing Bael a picture?” Sabrina asked.

"This is one of those times where you just have to trust me."

“I don’t understand the harm though.”
