Baelfire laughed. “Daddy I’m ten I can walk.” He told him through laughter.

"I will remember that after our walk on the weekend, when you are complaining your feet hurt." He chuckled.

Baelfire stuck his tongue out to him and he ran out to join his mum who had gone to sign his paperwork for discharge.

"I am going to go and speak to this boys family," He whispered in Sabrina's ear. "I'll meet you at home, okay?"

"Can't you just come home?" She asked. "We can do this after the weekend, he needs both of us" She told him quietly as she took Bealfire to the car.

"I- Fine. Fine, he isn't going to that school until the conversation is had though."

She nodded. "Agreed...Should we consider moving him to another one?"

"We should. A school where this could happen and not even be noticed is...   unacceptable. We need to report them too."

(( What if the boy who hurt Bael is the one they end up fostering? ))

She nodded. "I still have some friends on the board, I'll contact them." She told him. "We can talk to Bael about it tomorrow, lets just relax tonight and be a family."

((aww that sounds good))

"Okay, okay.."

Sabrina kissed his cheek.

Several days later, Zion stood, straight backed and broad shoulders as he waited for the door to open on a rural farm. Breathing steady, though whether this was to cover his anxieties or his anger it was hard to tell.

Sabrina stood with him, though she stood a little bit behind him at his request.

It took a while but eventually the door opened and it was a typical farmer's wife, checked shirt, wellington boots, jeans, hair scrunched back in a bun. "Well hello, what can I do for you?"

"Mrs Myers? Aeron Walters. My fiancè and I need to have a talk to you about an incident that happened between our boys last week."

"Ah, well come on inside, I just made some biscuits." She told them, gesturing for them to come inside and Sabrina followed him.

Jackson, a ghostly pale boy that currently spouted a cut across his cheek bone surrounded by deep purple bruising, hid several steps up the staircase. Peering down to watch the adults.

Zion followed cautiously, "Oh, though the biscuits are appreciated we'll have to decline. We just ate a hearty lunch."

"Well then I insist you take some with you, now what do we need to talk about?" She asked.

Sabrina looked around as she walked inside, ore in curiosity than anything, she'd never been in a farm house.

"Our boy was rushed to hospital before the weekend, knife wounds. Your son was the assailant."

"Our Jackson?" She asked, looking shocked. "Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"So you're saying that your son was attacked by Jackson with a knife?" She asked.

"That's exactly it." Sabrina told her.

"Do you have any evidence of this?" She asked. "I mean, Jackson doesn't even own a knife."

"He got it from the cafeteria. We have our sons word, and the board are investigating the school. CCTV footage has been acquired." Zion took in a breath, glancing towards the doorway as Jackson creeper into the room. "We want to have a conversation about it, so we don't have to inform the police."

Sabrina looked to Jackson as he came in and she took in his bruises and his cuts, her fingers finding Zion's as she squeezed them. Something was obviously wrong here.

"And what would you like to say about it?" She asked, her cheerful demeanor had changed into something cool and calculating.

"I would like to know where the boy learned such violence." Zion countered, his own tone dropping to match the woman's without hesitation. Fingertips interlocking to squeeze Sabrina's hand.

The woman looked to him. "That I couldn't tell you," She told him. "We don't allow Jackson to watch anything about a 12, and even then he's not without myself or my husband." She continued. "Now when hes at his friends well I can't control that, so I think I'm the wrong person to have this discussion with."
