He nodded before he started crying again he had tried to keep it all a secret and keep it hidden but he could t anymore

"It's okay, your allowed to cry. It must have been so scary." Zion validated gently, kissing the top of his head. Bundling the boy onto his arms when the car came to a stop and rushing into the hospital with him, flagging down a doctor for help.

A doctor ran over and took Baelfire into a cubicle. “What happened?” He asked as he examined his arm.

"A child at school corner him with a knife from the refectory. We aren't sure how long ago, he only told us about half an hour ago. We brought him straight here." Zion informed matter-of-factly, continously smoothing his sons hair down to silently comfort him. Looking up, towards Sabrina to check on her.

Sabrina was obviously worried for her son starting to bite her nails which she only done when she was worried after all no mother liked to see her baby suffering

Baelfire whimpered as the doctor checked the wound. “It’s very infected I say it was three days old.”

"Three days? Oh Bael, you need to tell us when these things happen to you, kid." He swallowed. "It must have been hurting you so much."

“Bael I need to check the rest of you.” Bael nodded after a few minutes and when the doctor helped him to take off his long sleeve and jumper Sabrina could not help the gasps that escaped her mouth but she quickly covered it to hide them. Bael was black and blue with some more healing cuts

Zion's eyes widened in horror, eyes flashing with silent rage once more. "Is - Is this all from the same boy?"

Baelfire nodded

"Sorry, sorry excuse me a second." He excused himself quietly, stepping out of the room and heading to the front of the building. Lowering himself to sit on the edge of the bench with a trembling breath.

“Daddy!” Baelfire shouted he didn’t want his father to leave in fact it worries him.

Meanwhile outside of the hospital Belle was sat on a bench a bit further down. “Elliott I’m still here don’t worry I’ll be home by tonight, things are progressing well.”

Zion reached a hand across, hitting the nearest thing to him to try and channel his rage. Making himself jump as it fell onto the floor with a crash, having not realised the force he had used.

Belle stopped as she caught Zions scent and she looked to the phone. “Elliott I’ll call you back.” She walked back over to him. “Are you okay?”

Zion's shoulders froze when he heard Belle's voice, cautiously glancing up at her. Answering frosting, "Fine."

“I’m sorry to ask, but you remind me of someone,” she told him. “Here let me
Check your hand.”

"What? No."

“Well at least you’re in the right place to get seen.” She told him. “It doesn’t look broken at least.” She nodded to his hand. “Are you okay though?”

"Fine. I have already said fine. What is wrong with you?"

“That’s a fine way to treat your Aunt.” She told him. “Cut the act Zion.” Belle snapped at him, he might have had a glimmer on his features but not his scent.

"That is not my name here, you best not ruin this for me." He warned, demonic growl rippling as he pushed to his feet. "I only came out for air, I need to get back inside. I'm here with someone, they need me."

Belle looked to him her eyes flashing amber but she calmed her wolf. “Missed you nephew, don’t worry I won’t mess this up.” She told him. “I’ll play along now you’re get yourself back inside.”

Zion shook his head, heading inside and back to the room he had left his son and Sabrina in.

By the time he come back the doctor was taking out makeshift staples and Baelfire was crying as Sabrina held him humming the lullaby she sang to him as a baby. They had tried anaesthetic but because he was unknowingly part demon it didn’t work on him

Zion let out a slow breath, reaching into his pocket to pull out a piece of chocolate infused with a natural painkilling herb that would only work on them. Offering it to his son, "Here, mm? Chocolate makes everything better."

Baelfire looked to him and he gingerly took the chocolate taking a bite and it seemed to help immensely
