Jean-Claude bit into his wrist, ignoring Genevieve's thrashing and whimpering of fear, holding the wound to her mouth. As soon as the blood hit her lips, she automatically relaxed against Jared's hold, drinking deeply from Jean-Claude.

Jean-Claude fought the urge to snarl at Jared and forced himself to step back towards the door with a jerky nod. Genevieve watched him go with half lidded eyes but seemed fine where she was and with him leaving.
