Immortal Mansion

He looked over at her. "Yeah by making it sure you didn't have any other friends, I think that guy has control issues."

Brooke glanced at him. "He didn't do that. I didn't want to be around anyone else because of 'MY' powers. I'm not always that good at controlling them... I keep them dormant most of the time."

"And what are your powers?"

"Unlike my sister who's powers were always there... mine took time. It's mainly changing colors and patterns on things but I can control other stuff if I try."

"Like what?" He asked, he was pretty curious.

Brooke made the car radio turn on and scanned the stations before settling on a song she hadn't heard in a long time.

Dean seemed pretty impressed. "That's much better than mine."

"I can't control it as easily as the others can... I easily lose control." She looked at him. "What's yours?"

He looked at her and he reached a hand over to her, suddenly a ball of light appeared, floating above his hand and inside it were soft voices. "I contain voices, I can use light to tell people who others are saying to them."

"Really? How do that work?" She asked. Now she was curious.

He shrugged. "I just know it does, it's like mind reading but on a different level."

"So... would you like be able to tell me what Peter is thinking?.. or any of my family?"

"I'll start with Peter." He told her and the ball changed colour and he appeared to be having a conversation in his head, one side of him still loved Brooke and wanted to talk to her, but the other was pissed beyond belief and quickly winning over.

She inhaled deeply trying not to cry.

He watched her.

"It's hard... knowing he's that angry with me but at the same time he should be... I really messed up..."

"The dude loves you, but you made a mistake, he needs to be able to get over."

"It was a HUGE mistake. I don't even know how you're sitting here talking to me."

"Because we are parents to a little baby, so it's about time that we spent some time together with her."

"And you're putting everything aside for this?... why? You've never been this agreeable."

He shrugged. "I have no other family except her." He told her.

She nodded. "I guess we do need to work out something for her... you deserve to know her."

He nodded. "I'm grateful for you giving me a chance."

"For her. Peter is an amazing dad to her but she has a right to know you too."

He nodded, and he made the ball of light disappear.
