Lloyd shook the head.

"I'm not going to hurt you, Lloyd. Or shout. I just want to get you home."

He looked at him, scared, tightening his grip on his Aunt.

"Come on Lloyd," Jean-Claude said quietly. "Nothing bad is going to happen I promise."

Genevieve held him a little closer.

"We will bring him back with us."

Jean-Claude sighed but relented and led the horse past them and carried on walking.

Loyd relaxed when his father was gone.

Genevieve kissed his head. "Its okay sweetheart."

Jared watched them.

"Do you want to carry on playing?"

He shook his head.

By the tine they got home, Jean-Claude and Coraline were argueing.

"They're turning my own son against me and you're taking their side?!" Jean-Claude shouted angrily, waving his arm to the side. "I'm doing the best I can and you're against me for it?"

"Oh yeah, if hirting your sister is doing the best you can, then yeah you're doing a great job."

"I'm doing all I can for her! It's not as if she's saying anything against it, and she doesn't make mistakes again after its happened!"

"She's fifteen for Christi sake! When are you going to learn Jean-Claude that your sister isn't someone who you can knock about because you think that she has made a mistake! What's happened to you? What's happened to the man who would have rather staked himself to the ground that hurt his beloved little sister. Where's that Jean-Claude,mbecause it certainly isn't the one in front of me."

"She's fifteen and has a daughter! She's soon to get married, Coraline! It isn't befitting of a girl her age!"

"I'm not that much older and we have one child and another on the way, and were married!" She then realised what she had actually said and sighed.
