“That should be the last thing.” He promised, moving to lie on his side of the bed.

She smiled softly. “Thank you love,” she told him.

She nodded. “If you’ve got things to do then I don’t mind.”

"Go pack, I'll get the boys ready. We'll be leaving straight away," He whispered, "It's be fun."

Alessia quietly settled down beside him.

"Bits and bobs, yeah." Elliott grimaced.

“It’s fine, go and do your thing.” She told him as she made her way towards the stairs.

He slid an arm around her holding her close to him.

She smiled softly. “Alright.” She told him and she kissed his cheek before she went upstairs to pack.

"Make sure you rest, Belle."

Zion watched her go with a smile.

She snuggled into him.

Belle smiled softly taking her coat off when she got upstairs and pulling out an envelope. There was another reason she stayed late, the alpha had given her an envelope with pictures inside, she hadn't looked at them yet and she looked at the envelope as she sat on the edge of the bed.

Sabrina packed for herself and the boys, she packed in silence still things being on her mind.

He held her close brushing a hand through her hair.

"Oh, I almost forgot something." Elliott hummed as reentered the room several minutes later. Frowning as he spotted the envelope, "What's that?"

“It’s from the alpha…he told me to open it when I was alone that he didn’t want to have me find out this way.” She told him and she pushed the envelope towards him. Inside were photos of him and a woman that Belle didn’t know, some of the photos were nothing just two people having fun others were more intimate. There was even one of them in Belle and Elliot’s bed. “The alpha female said it was to be expected since I can’t carry a child to term.”

Elliott looked through them, wrinkling his nose in distaste. "I don't understand.. what is this?"

“Apparently you’ve been looking for a relationship elsewhere.” She told him. “The woman is apparently your mistress.” Belle told him.

"You believe this shit?"

“Of course I don’t.” She told him. “I just want to know why she was in our bed.”

"She was drunk, better her on a bed then on the sofa we've just brought. You would have been pissed if someone threw up on that but bed sheets can be cleaned."

Belle looked to him. “Naked?” She asked, nodding to the picture.

Several hours later, Zion lay on the beach on the Eastern coast. Sun glasses cover his eyes, and arms folded behind his head as he allowed the sun hit his bare chest. Listening to his family, of which, Jackson was tentatively stepping into the ocean.

Elliott scoffed, folding his arms over his chest. "Of course, believe their words over me. I don't have the energy for it, Belle."

“Of course I don’t believe it.” Belle told him. “We promised to be honest if our feelings change and mine haven’t.” She told him. “I love you Elliott and I know that you wouldn’t do that.”

Sabrina was beside Jackson gently coaxing him into the water. “Come on you can do it just walk over to me.” She encouraged she was only a few feet away from him.

"No." Jackson answered, voice quiet. "No. M- Mum always said th- that the water was dangerous. She always said..."

Zion pushed himself up with a frown, taking off his glasses and squinting against the sun to search for Baelfire amongst the other children.

Alessia, on the other hand, was at the other end of the beach. Beaming from ear to ear as she down sand around her own hand - burying it like a child would.

"Why am I being interrogated then?"

Damian was sat on a sun lounger enjoying the sun as he watched her and he could not help but smile.

Baelfire was walking up the beach picking up sea shell, he was out of sight to his parents and more to where Damion and Alessia were

Sabrina smiled warmly at Jackson. “It’s okay, baby steps.” She walked back to join him.

“What do you expect me to do when photos suggest that you have another life?” She asked him. “I’m curious, I’m hurt and I’m tired.”

"I'm hurt you don't trust me, hurt you don't have the capacity to realise that is an old pack mate from decades ago who I have told you about before because I knew her before I knew you. Why are you punishing me because you are letting a pack you aren't even a part of manipulate you?!"

Alessia cast a glance over her shoulder, frowning when she spotted Baelfire. Watching in silence.

“I’m sorry okay, I’m just tired and I’ve got a lot of my mind right now…I’m sorry to assume.” She told him as she pulled her knees up to her chest.

Baelfire was happy to be looking at seashells.

Damian noticed him too and he looked to Alessia.

She nodded. “It’s okay, why don’t we go and sit back on the sand?”

"A lot on your mind? Like what?" Elliott shook his head, grabbing what he needed from the room and heading towards the hallway. "I'm not here for it, Belle. You want to be dramatic, go to Arden."

Alessia pulled her hand from the sand, watching.

“Just a lot.” She told him. “But it’s fine.” She told him. “I am sorry Elliot.” She told him

Baelfire looked around when he realised that he could not see his parents and he realised how far he had gone, his skin paling.

She gestured for him to follow as she walked back to Zion. “Aeron you okay?”

"I- No. No can you see Bael? He was here a second ago..."

"Hey, are you okay there?" Alessia called over gently

Sabrina looked around for Bael. “No…”

Baelfire looked to them and he shook his head starting to nibble his thumb the way Zion did as a kid. “N-No.”

Belle looked up at him. “With which part?”

Alessia frowned, reaching a hand out in offering to the boy. "Come here, tell us how we can help. Where are your parents?"

"All of it." Elliott mumbled. "Something is wrong, but I won't tell. It's not fair."

“I agree with that.” She told him. “Someone wants to come between us,” she told him. “I don’t know why and part of me doesn’t want to know…I wanted to tell you when I was sure, but I wanted to wait until it got further but I know I shouldn’t.” She told him.

“He can’t have gone far…” Sabrina was trying to hide her panic.

Baelfire was hesitant before he took her hand and sat with her as Damian sat up on his sun lounger.

“Do you want a drink?” He asked and when Baelfire nodded he went into their cooler and pulled out a bottle of water giving it to the young boy.
