"I - legally, probably not? I'm legally dead, right? I don't... I don't even know how all or that is going to work. How I am ever going to travel."

“Usually it gets expunged, and look on the bright side at least this time you can marry Belle properly.”

"If she wants it," Elliott whispered

“Is it what you want?” She asked him. “Be honest with me Elliot, what do you feel for Belle?”

"Everything I felt before, I just don't believe she wants me."

“What makes you believe that?” She asked

"It's been the blink of an eye for me, years for her. It.. feels different, the energy."

SHe nodded. "You know about Arden then?" She asked. "What did they show you?"

"The two of them cuddling, laughing... just being.. close, in general." Elliott swallowed. "Affectionate glances when the other isn't looking, playful jibes. More laughter then her and I ever shared."

Eris looked to him. “Did they show you the rest of it?” She asked him, holding out her hand. “May I?”

Elliott took in a deep, hesitant breath. Gently taking her hand.

Eris was able to share the other half of the events where Belle was sat at a grave, his grave. She would sit for hours telling him about things that had been happening, wish him happy birthday, Christmas, anniversary. She would tell him about Arden about how he was trying to help her move on but she didn’t want to, she wanted you back. She would talk about the life they could have had and he was able to feel how happy she sounded at the sound of it

"That's just grief, that's all." Elliott mumbled as he pulled his hand back. "What they showed me was the every day, and she - she seemed different, earlier."

“How different?” She asked. “There are other things…in truth I’ve met Arden and I don’t know I don’t like him that much.”

"'Why not?"

“I don’t know he’s very protective of Belle, i think he has more feelings for her than she does for him.”

"That isn't a reason to dislike him."

“Elliot you’ll meet him and you’ll see what I mean, there’s just something about him.”

"Tell me a reason so I know what to look out for."

Eris tried to put it into words. “He kind of likes to have her to himself.”

"Right."

“Sorry Elliot it’s hard to explain.”

"Mm, right."

“Might be helpful to you both for you and Belle to have a proper cards on the table chat…and if you want someone impartial I don’t mind being there too.”

"There is nothing to talk about, Eris. It is refreshing to see that you still make a large deal over things that aren't so important though."
