Life Used To Be So Simple.... <3

"Mummy..." Isabelle shouted, running up the garden to them holding something in her hands.

"What have you got there sweetheart?" Genevieve stopped swinging as she waited for Isabelle to get closer.

"Daddy took me walking, and I beat him back."

"That's because, your father isn't made to be fast, but strong." Jared told his daughter as he walked to them.

"Daddy just doesn't like being beaten," Genevieve whispered, well aware Jared could hear before she made her voice louder, "Well done sweetie!" She reached forward to scoop her up and hold her close.

Jared raised an eyebrow at her, before he looked at Jean-Claude. "Coraline said that she is bring Lloyd to see you later and to keep you updated on the pregnancy, but she doesn't look that good at the moment." He told him as a word of warning.

"A pregnancy is never perfect." Jean-Claude was watching the sky still, oddly placid and still.

"You'll see what I mean."

"Jean-Claude won't be reacting much for the next few days. That weekend he went missing, he visited Eliza, our aunt. A witch. She, uh, 'fixed him' as he put it." Genevieve held Isabelle closer. "He also brought news back that Michael has been seen recently."

"Great...Isnt she the one who doesn't like Coraline?"

"She was his only option. And Eliza has mellowed out since she was attacked a short while ago. She's still a mean cold hearted cow though."

"Oh wow, this should be fun."

"He might react...He might not. She lowered his stronger emotions, such as the anger and disappointment he used against me."

"Fair enough."

"Uncle Jared! Auntie Genevieve!" Lloyd suddenly ran to then.

Jean-Claude lifted his head, a smile playing about his mouth as he heard Lloyd.

"Hey there buddy!" Genevieve called over with a smile.

He suddenly ran into Jean - Claude. "Daddy!"

Coralije watched from the gate, and what Jared said was TRUE, she was pale and her face looked drawn.

Jean-Claude leaned down to pick him up and hold him close, swinging him back and forth gently for a moment.

Lloyd smiled, snuggleing close.

"Have you been a good boy Lloyd?" Jean-Claude hummed softly.

"Yea daddy, me and mummy can hear the baby move."

"Are you hoping for a little girl or a little boy?"

"A baby brother, because girls are icky."

"And yet you and Isabelle get on gine." Coraline reminded him.

Jean-Claude laughed quietly. "Is your mommy icky? How about auntie Genevieve? Because I think you've hurt her feelings and she needs a hug now."

Jean-Claude looked to Genevieve who started fake pouting on cue, as if about to cry because of Lloyds words.

"I'm sorry Auntie Genie." He ran over and hugged her.

Coralline watched em.

"Oh, alright, I forgive you." Genevieve sighed exaggeratedly but hugged him tightly back.

"I don't think you're icky mommy." Isabelle told her.

Lloyd smiled and got down, playfully pushing Isabelle but he done it harder than he meant to and she started crying when she hit the floor.

"Lloyd, I warned you about watching your strength." Coralline told him.
