Coraline sat on the armchair with Lloyd resting into her, she could feel him falling asleep eventhough she knew he was waiting for his father to come home.

Jean-Claude came back in after about half an hour, covered in dirt from where he'd buried the body in the forest.

By the time he came back, LLoyd was asleep against his mother, though his head and hand were resting on the bump and Coraline was still wide awake though she looked tired.

"Are you ready to go to bed, sweetheart?" Jean-Claude asked quietly. "Here, let me take Lloyd." He crossed the room, tenderly picking up his son.

Jean-Claude led her as far as their bedroom before letting go, kissing her cheek gently, and then making his way towards Lloyd's bedroom.

She managed to kiss him back, before she got changed out of her dress and sat at her dressing table, undoing and brushing out her hair.

Jean-Claude gently set Lloyd down on his bed, carefully undressing and then dressing him into his pajamas, before he tucked him into bed, kissed his forehead and left the bedroom, leaving the door open a gap in case he called out in the middle of the night.

By the time he came back, Coraline was almost done undoing all of the pins from her hair, she hadn't been able to brush it yet.

She obviously relaxed as he brushed her hair, finding the action incredibly relaxing.
