Re: Across Seas - Remade
"So, what is the plan?" She asked. "It's nearly light so we could try and find the shore."

He looked at the picture and he got the idea, putting it on the table beside the bed before he moved to sit beside her and pulling her onto his lap, holding her close.

"How? We have nothing to row us anywhere."
Maria buried her face against his shoulder, dozing off the sleep after a while.

"We use our feet." She shrugged. "Unless we can find something around here to use, wood from the ship maybe or something like that." She told him.

"It'd be stupid to be constantly in and out of the water, the cold'll kill us."
Re: Across Seas - Remade
"If it doesn't kill us before then." She told him, before she saw something on the horizon. "Is that a boat?" She asked, pointing to where she could see the figure coming closer.

Luke narrowed his eyes a little it at that, "Maybe... Is it safe if it is one."
Re: Across Seas - Remade
"I don't know, but it beats being stuck on a wooden slab floating to god knows where." She told him as the boat got closer and closer until they pulled beside them and it was just a common fishing boat.
"Do you two need some help?" The captain asked, he was the average fat fisherman, before he looked back onto the boat. "Wife dear, bring some blankets and food, these two lovebirds look half starved and frozen to death." He shouted and a plump woman walked out carrying blankets and she looked at them in sorrow. "Oh you poor dears."

"We're fine, we have apples." Luke mumbled, a little stubbornly; hating sympathy.
Re: Across Seas - Remade
"Well can we at least give you a ride into shore?" The woman asked. "We won't harm you sweetheart, now come on your girl is frozen, her lips are blue." She nodded to Amora whose hand had moved closer to Luke's, this was her need for protection.

"Shore, fine. No touching us though, and we aren't taking any food off of you." He muttered, getting to his feet and stepping onto the boat, offering Amora a hand to help her in.
Re: Across Seas - Remade
Amora took his hand and she climbed into the boat. "Would you accept a blanket then?" She asked.

"Luke, now isn't a time to be chivalrous." Amora told him as she was handed a blanket and she held one out to him. "Please Luke, you're going blue."

Luke just let out a small sigh, mumbling incoherently under his breath about not even feeling cold as he took one.
Re: Across Seas - Remade
She smiled softly at him as she moved to sit on the floor of the boat, the woman watched her.

Re: Across Seas - Remade
Luke sat himself down beside her, wrapping an arm around her and resting his head on top of hers.
Re: Across Seas - Remade
The woman started speaking as Amora leant into him. "Here sweetheart, I have some clothes for you to change into, to help to keep you warm." The woman told her.
Amora nodded. "Thank you, but I'm not going anywhere without Luke." She told them and in truth she didn't trust them fully to be alone with any of them.
"Miss it's hardly traditional for a man to see a woman undress before your married." The man spoke.

"We are," Luke lied smoothly, too exhausted to come up with any other argument to the situation, "The boat we were on wrecked in the storm, our rings fell off; we were travelling to the island north of here for our honeymoon."
Re: Across Seas - Remade
"Well in that case I suppose that it could be alright." The woman mused. "This way then." She led them to their sleeping quarters where she found some clothes for Amora and then she left them in peace after giving Amora permission to use any of her oils and hair brush. Amora looked at the clothes infront of her and then Luke. "You can look if you want I'm not exactly desirable."

Re: Across Seas - Remade
Luke shook his head in the negative, sitting himself down in the corner and looking towards the door, "It doesn't matter, just be quick, the sooner we're off this boat the better."
Re: Across Seas - Remade
She nodded and she moved to change on the other side of the room. If he had even glanced her way he would have seen scars on her body particularly in the shape of a shark bite that had been rubbed raw by the salt water in her clothes.

Re: Across Seas - Remade
Luke sighed softly when he spotted it but didn't say a word, just moving his gaze back to the door.
Re: Across Seas - Remade
Amora took some deep breaths as she let the pain from her raw and inflamed skin calm and soothe itself before she slid on the clothes the woman had left her. When she was dressed there was a knock on the door the woman stood on the other side.

"Just to let you know that we will be making port soon." She told them before she took her leave.
